Schools
As a District, the 2CJ Port Orford-Langlois District has met the federal standards of Adequate Yearly Progress for the last five years, one of the few on the South Coast to do so. Pacific High School is one of only 157 Oregon schools that received an overall rating of “Exceptional” on the Oregon School Report Card. Also, the number of high school graduates that go on to a two or four-year college is 70%, well above the state average of 30%. The District offers Band, Choir, and Professional Technical Training that includes agriculture science, CAD/CAM, metals and woodworking. Pre Calculus, Physics, and Chemistry are also offered. College credit courses through Southwestern Oregon Community College as well as Advanced Placement classes are available. A+ Cerification and Pathway track with SOCC is available in the computer/technology program. (According to the January 2009 Annual Report to the Community).
Television Stations
PortOrford.tv is the only local television station in the area. KTVI (CBS), KOBI (NBC), and KDRV (ABC) are available out of Medford, Oregon.

Airports
Passenger airport service is available in North Bend through the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport, approximately 50 miles north of Port Orford. United Airlines operates daily flights to both Portland, Oregon and San Francisco, California.
